Message from the Head of the Department of Oriental Languages Prof. Venera Khisamova
	Dear visitors! You are welcome to the site of the Department of Oriental Languages. The present and previous years turned out to be rich in significant events related to collaboration with countries of the East.
In October 2008 Theoretical and Practical Conference “East-West: the Dialogue of Cultures in Polylingual Environment” was held at Tatar State University of Education and Humanities on the basis of Faculty of Oriental Languages.Scholars and scientists from Islamic Republic Iran, Moscow and other scientific centres of the country took part in this conference. Conference materials were published in 2009. On January 15, 2009, during the visit to Tatarstan, the delegation headed by the Governer of eastern Azerbaijan Province of Iran Mr. Ahmad Alizera Begy visited our University and met with the staff and students of the Oriental Languages Department of the Institute of Foreign Languages. The delegation was composed of rector of the Azerbaijan University of Education Mohammad Aminey Fard. The Governer of Eastern Azerbaijan Province Islamic Republic Iran Mr. Alizera Begy and Rector of Azerbaijan University of Education Dr. Aminey Fard gave lectures for University staff and students. In his report the Governor emphasised that “People of Tatarstan and Eastern Azerbaijan Province are spiritually close to each other. Ancient brotherly cultures, alike languages what unite us are... Therefore it is our duty to build stable grounds to develop long-lasting relations in different fields: in Economics, in Policy of cultural Exchange and others. The cooperation between Tatar State University of Education and Humanities and Azerbaijan University of Education in Tebriz City is bound to contribute to developing our relations, upbringing new generation and as a result country’s flourishing.” The governor also expressed his perfect willingness to provide support and send a Persian Language Teacher to provide graduate students comprehensive language development. The memorandum about agreement related to Scientific and Educational Collaboration between Azerbaijan University of Education and Tatar State University of Education and Humanities was underwritten. This important document was signed by Radif Rifkatovich Zamaletdinov and Mohammed Aminey Fard. The outcome of this agreement was Summer Persian Language Training Course in Persian Language taken y the fourth year students Busigina E.E. and Ahmetova L.A. It has become a tradition for students of Department of Oriental Languages to participate in Language Contests. On January 23-24, All Russian Contest in Persian Language V and Literature Contest dedicated to A. Firdousy IV were held in Moscow. The students of department of oriental Language E. Busigina and G. Husina took part in this contest and were awarded with certificates. Associate Professor Yuzmuhametov R.T. was awarded with a letter of appretiation for participation in jury. The contest was held on the basis of institute of Asia and Africa Moscow State University named after lomonosov under the aegis of Cultural Mission at the Embassy of Iran in the Russian Federation. The participation of students of the Department of Oriental Languages has been a tradition for the last four years. On April, 18, 2009 the students of the Department of Oriental Languages Y.Solovyova and R.Kharisova took part in the 3^rd All-Russian Contest (of reports) in Japanese language in Privolzhskiy Federal District. The contest was arranged by Association of the Japanese Language Teachers of Privolzhsky Federal District, Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University named after Dobroluybov and Japanese Centre in Nizhny Novgorod under the aegiss of the Embassy of Japan in the Russian Federation and Japanese Fund. Y.Solovyeva won the first prize, R.Kharisova was awarded with a special prize. On June 18^th the Secretary General of the delegation headed by Administrative Council of Islamic Capitals and Cities Organisation Omar Abdulla Kadi visited Institute of Foreign Languages, Tatar State University of Education and Humanities. Within the bounds of meeting Memorandum about agreement in the fields of Scientific, Educational and Cultural Cooperation was signed. June, 19 International Theoretical and Practical Conference “The Preservation and Development of Natural Languages, in a multi-national state: Problems and Prospects”, was dedicated to bi-centenary of Kazan School of Turkic Philology specialists. The Department of Oriental Languages was one of the organizers of this Conference. Concul general of Iran Reza Bagban Kondory and other specialists from Iran who made reports were the guests of honour at this Conferense. 8-9 September, 2009 the Department of Oriental Languages, the Institute of Foreign Languages, Tatar State University of Education and Humanities took in the International Theoretical and Practical Conference “ Muslim education in Russia and Abroad”, held at our University and Russian Islamic University. Within the bounds of this Conference, Director General of Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation belonging to Dr Abdulaziz Osman Al-Tuvegry, the Chairman of State Council of Tatarstan Republic Farid Muhammetshin and a permanent representative of the Russian Federation at OIC Kamil Iskhakov visited the Department of Oriental languages. Cultural – Scientific and Information Centre “ The Oriental House” was opened (founded) an the basis of the Department of Oriental Languages. F.Kh. Muhametshin, Dr. Al - Tuveygrey, K.Sh. Ishakov, R.R.Zamaletdinov took part in the opening ceremony. With the help of this centre, Tatar State University of Humanities and Education is planning to strengthen cultural and scientific links with Asian and African countries. On behalf of IESCO Dr. Al – Tuveygrey promised to provide assistance and support to “ The Oriental House”, including University students, training courses and exchanges in the Arabian countries, contributing books to the libraries and a number of other fields. In addition to this designing of specialized classrooms for teaching and learning Japanese and Chinese can be considered as one of the crucial events in University life. Thus specialized classrooms according to languages (Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Japanese, Chinese.) are functioning at the Department of Oriental Languages. These classrooms are expected to help to improve students language skills and contribute to their higher academic achievements at our University, in Kazan City and in the Republic of Tatarstan as well. This year Tatar State University of Humanities and Education carried on collaboration and cooperation with Kapadokya High School. The Head of Oriental Languages Department Director of Institute of Foreign Languages Professor V.N. Khisamova visited Kapadokya High School as a coordinator of Collaboration Program between TSUME and Kapadokya High School ( Turkey). In the bounds of this visit seminars devoted to TSUME students practice ar Turkish schools and students exchange were held. This year qualified faculty members from Yemen, China, Japan and Iran continued working. Students took training courses in Siriya, (Tegeran, the centre spreading the Persian language and Literature), China (Guylin, University of Education).
